Fantastic $30 Map-Making Software Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop Game Master's Fantasy

After a brief run back in April, this cartography software collection is back for a limited time available through early December. Hailed as an extensive collection of mapping tools developed by ProFantasy Software throughout their history, the entire collection carries a value of over $1,300. And there are three different bundles available here.

The Main Attraction

The standout feature is definitely permanent access to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard mapping application that can be used to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, detailed regional charts, city maps, and most notably, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

Bundle Tiers

Entry Level

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four from the thirty-nine available products: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, Urban Source Maps. This package suits existing CC3+ users, yet it provides new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts with 470 associated map tokens, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Intermediate Package

The eight-item bundle for at least $15 offers enhanced value through inclusion of permanent CC3+ access, the first Annual volume, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. The Annual represents the annual collection from the company's long-running monthly subscription service featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and additional utilities. The Isometric Cities enables present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is a 760-page for beginners and "power users" alike, full of tips and tutorials for the map-making process.

All 17 volumes from the Annual series are included here, alongside a slew of other resource and asset packs that can help users craft complete solar systems, or just go all-in on traditional fantasy world-building: combat arenas, underground complexes, cities, and continents in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character portraits. For $30 as opposed to $15, the complete collection offers tremendous value, particularly for mappers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly an even better deal for cartography beginners considering you even get the beginners' tutorials to facilitate learning. The one caveat here though the purchase is available across platforms, the software is only usable on Windows.

As with other Humble Bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response.
